The Bag is a Bengaluru-rooted studio making plastic-free everyday essentials — bags, kitchen tools, and home goods built to be reused, not thrown away.
We started The Bag around a simple frustration: how much of daily life runs on things designed to be used once and thrown away. So we set out to make the alternative — reusable totes, jute and coir goods, bamboo kitchen tools, and festive pieces — practical enough that choosing plastic-free actually feels easier, not harder.

Every product starts with one question: does this replace something single-use? From jute totes to bamboo kitchen tools, we design for reuse first.
We believe everyday swaps — a cloth bag instead of plastic, a coir scrubber instead of synthetic sponge — add up to a meaningfully lighter footprint.
We would rather make fewer things that last than more things that don’t. Every piece is meant to be carried, used, and reused for years.
